Philosopher Bergson in "Creative Evolution" expounds the different directions of the evolution of life: ignorance, intelligence and instinct. It also further proposes contrasts and references regarding the characteristics of intelligence, with the ability to continuously change its labor patterns and manufacturing quality. Nowadays, human labor production technology is constantly closely coexisting with electronics, digital and the Internet, and a large amount of information data is no longer participated by human beings, but is automatically generated between machines. . These machine behaviors seem to be gradually establishing an unreliable "blood relationship" with the real world. The generation of a large number of heteromorphic images is accompanied by extreme sensitivity to social relationships and geographical models, forming an image that can devour reality. that power.

The content of this exhibition presents artist Ren Lun's exploration and reveal of images, identity, reality and network environment in recent years, and through the construction of "metaphorical space" under the influence of image semiotics and digital coding, it gives the public a sense of machine behavior and images. The right to revisit the power. The image of the work is reproduced in the form of a digital ontology, and the artist violently destroys it in the process of repetition. This intervention interrupts the circulation process in its original context, causing the content to present a stripped bone data and original power frame.

The theme of the exhibition "Crack 2 - Intellectual Model and Conceptual Space" is derived from Bergson's prediction, about the gradual formation of intellectual labor under the operation of large-scale productivity of machine technology, combining time, matter and image. The productive capacity between matter defined by memory storage and imitation of the concept of reality. "Crack 2" hopes to serve as a model for proposing a conceptual space that is constantly generated at the border between reality and memory storage, along with reality perception and potential material exposure imitated by technical codes. At the same time, the number "2" implies incomprehensible guesses about the past and future of the theme timeline, those that should have happened, the existing reality, or a potential trace that has not happened yet.

The exhibition space narrative takes the fictional world and narrative text generated by the artist as the guiding object, trying to display and promote the critical reflection and open discussion of human survival and development in the context of the Internet. A large number of narrative clues and model concepts are presented in the work, which encourages the viewer to participate in the specific field coordinate system established by the artist's "freedom of choreography" model. This process and way of participation eliminates to a certain extent the role and power of subject consciousness in the construction of images or narratives, thereby reducing the dependence on experience and memory, although such activities may be so discrete and imaginative There are always crises.

裂谷2——智性模型与概念空间

哲学家柏格森在《创造进化论》中阐述了生命进化的不同方向:无知、智能和本能。同时还进⼀步提出了关于智能特性的对比和参照,具有不断变化其劳动⽅式和制造质量的能⼒。现如今,⼈类的劳动生产技术正不断与电⼦、数码和网络发⽣紧密的共存关系,且⼤量的信息数据已然是不再有⼈类参与,⽽是机器与机器之间的自主生成。这些机器⾏为似乎正逐步与现实世界建⽴⼀种不可靠的“血缘关系”,⼤量异形态图像的产⽣伴随着对社会关系和地缘模型的极度敏感,形成⼀种可以吞噬现实的图像权力。

 

本次展览内容呈现了艺术家任伦近年来对图像、身份、现实和网络环境的探讨和揭示,并通过构建在图像符号学和数字编码影响下的“隐喻空间”赋予⼤众对机器行为和图像权力重新审视的权利。作品图像以数字本体的方式再现,重复的过程中艺术家暴力破坏,这种介入打断了其原始语境中的循环过程,致使内容呈现出⼀种被剥离的骨骼数据和原始权力框架。

 

展览主题“裂⾕2 - 智性模型与概念空间”便源自于柏格森所预示的,关于机器技术⼤规模生产力运作下逐渐形成的智性劳动,结合了时间、物质与图像。物质之间通过记忆存储和对现实概念的模仿所定义的生产能⼒。“裂⾕2”希望作为提出外置在现实与记忆存储接壤处不断产生的概念空间模型,伴随着通过技术代码模仿的现实知觉与潜在物质的暴露。同时数字序号“2”暗示了关于主题时间线过去与未来不可⾔喻的猜测,那些应该发⽣过的、存在的现实,抑或是⼀种潜在的、还未发生的痕迹。

 

展览空间叙事以艺术家生成的虚构世界和叙事文本作为引导对象,试图展示和推动基于网络语境下对人类生存和发展的批判性反思和开放性讨论。作品中呈现⼤量的叙事线索和模型概念,⿎励观者参与到艺术家“⾃由编导”模式所建立的特定场域坐标系中。这种过程与参与⽅式⼀定程度上消解了主体意识在图像或叙事构建中扮演的角色权力,从而也消减了对经验与记忆的依赖,尽管可能这样的活动是如此离散,充满想象却⼜时刻蕴含危机。
